The purpose of these get-togethers is to spend time with other MLQG fiber fanatics and to learn from each other, no matter what we're all working on. Bring your projects, machine, and lunch. Stay for an hour or stay all day. Just be warned that if only a couple of people show up, we may pack up early and leave before noon. And if the weather is iffy, only you can decide if it is safe for you to drive. Cancellations will be posted on the guild's blog/website/Facebook page.
The Masons have generously offered their space for us to use both for charity sewing and open sewing. If you know a Mason, please thank him and support the lodge's charitable activities when you can (pancake breakfasts, chicken/ribs BBQs, etc.)
If you need more info or directions to the Masonic Lodge, contact Susan McC,, Dori S., Anya T. or Peggi Y. (see your guild roster for contact info), or comment on this blog post.

November 17th Meeting Door Prize
MLQG members who have been coming regularly to monthly meetings know that we have a door prize drawing, but new members may not be familiar with how this works.
It's fairly simple -- at the start of the meeting, a basket is passed around and members who wish to participate are asked to take a ticket, drop the matching one in the basket, and contribute $1 for each ticket. The winner is drawn later in the evening. The holder of the winning ticket gets to choose one of two prizes. This month's choices are a Moda Horizon charm pack or a bottle of Best Press spray.
Guild members who buy a ticket (or two or three) help support the various activities that the guild provides. Even small fundraisers like this help to keep costs down for everyone. Thank you to all who have purchased door prize tickets in the past and who will continue to do so in the future.
