Open Sewing at the Gmeiner -- Monday, May 1st

Next Open Sewing Session
 Monday,  May 1st at the Gmeiner 10:00 - 2:00

All MLQG members of all ability levels and interests are welcome to attend the open sewing sessions at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center (where the monthly guild meetings are held) on Mondays 10:00 - 2:00 to work on any stitching projects, hand or machine, even knitting/crocheting/embroidery. The fourth Monday of the month is reserved for outreach sewing.

The purpose of these get-togethers is to spend time with other MLQG fiber fanatics and to learn from each other, no matter what we're all working on. Bring your projects, machine, and lunch. Stay for an hour or stay all day. Just be warned that if only a couple of people show up, we may pack up early and leave before noon. Cancellations will be posted on the guild's blog/website/Facebook page.

Quilts and their designs have changed over time, reflecting their influences of geography, historical events, technological innovations, economic circumstances, ethnic traditions, and personal aesthetics. Pennsylvania has a rich quilting history, and is bound with a wealth of opportunities to discover this quilting heritage.
ITINERARY:
7:00 am Depart from Wellsboro
Available Pickups: Mansfield, Blossburg, Liberty, Trout Run, Williamsport
8:45 Fast food breakfast stop at McDonald’s in Selinsgrove
11:00 Arrive in Hershey, PA at the HERSHEY LODGE & CONVENTION CENTER.
Enjoy ADMISSION to the HERSHEY QUILT ODYSSEY and COMMEMORATIVE PIN.
There will be time to visit the MERCHANTS MALL, with more than 80 merchants in their diverse mall, with just about everything a quilter could wish for!
5:30 pm Depart for dinner
5:45-7:00 FAMLY-STYLE ITALIAN DINNER is included at FENICCI’S RESTAURANT, proudly serving the Hershey area since 1935.
10:30 pm Approximate return
