Quilters Gone Wild For TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild
Quilters Gone Wild
For TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild
The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will once again be quilting for a cause for the guild’s 2024 exhibit. Members are invited to help raise funds for TIMQ: Veteran’s in the Wild by making a small wall quilt to be sold during the exhibit.
The rules are easy…just make a mini quilt! Quilts can be of any theme or style, but should be no larger than 9”x12” and no smaller than 8”x10”. All quilting styles, colors, techniques, and abilities are welcome!
All quilts submitted will be offered for sale at the price of $25.00 each during the month of the exhibit. All profits will be donated to TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild at the close of the exhibit.
TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild is a 501 (c)(3) public charity, based in Tioga County, PA, dedicated to helping veterans of all ages and branches with an alternative form of therapy by using outdoor experiences to help them to combat PTSD and other disabilities. Learn more about TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild and the services they offer at www.thisismyquest.org or find them on Facebook at TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild.
Complete rules and necessary guidelines can be found on the “Quilters Gone Wild for TIMQ: Veterans in the Wild” entry form, which can be printed from the guild’s website.
Entry Forms and finished quilts should be given to Susan Mc. on or before August 19, 2024.

2024 Challenge Quilt Theme/Requirements “Please, turn to page 25”
2024 Challenge Quilt Theme/Requirements
“Please, turn to page 25”
Guild members are asked to “Please, turn to page 25” for the 2024 exhibit challenge. Select any non-quilt related magazine and turn to page 25 to find an idea for your challenge quilt theme. Choose a color palette, a phrase, a photo, or even something from an ad as inspiration for your quilt.
Quilts must have three layers, be either machine or hand quilted, and have a binding.
Entries must be less than 25” at the widest/longest points. This includes embellishments that may be hanging off the edge of the quilt.
Quilts should have a hanging sleeve or another appropriate method for display.
Entries must have a label with the name of the maker and title of the quilt sewn securely to the back of the quilt.
The magazine page (which must include the page number 25) used for inspiration shall be submitted with the entry, along with the proper entry form.
Enjoy the process of creating your challenge quilt!
