Updated January 30 -- Upcoming Quilted Hooded Jacket Workshop

NOTE -- Signups for this workshop have now begun. Check your February newsletter for details or use the comment form on this blog post.

When: Saturday, February 23rd  9:00AM - 4:00PM
Where: Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church (next to the Gmeiner in Wellsboro)
Cost: $10 (does not include lunch)
Maximum number of students: 10
By popular demand, Betty has agreed to teach how to make the quilted hooded jacket that she showed at show and tell back in the fall and at the January guild meeting. The pattern is no longer available, but Betty will provide a few patterns in different sizes for students to share. The one that Betty showed was a size SMALL. She says that the pattern is easy and that you don’t need to be a seamstress to make it. If you can sew a quilt, you can sew this.
The jacket requires 2 1/2 yards of quilted fabric for size Small; you’ll need more if you make a larger size. The fabric can be store-bought or quilted at home by you before the class. Solid or patchwork will work.
Other supplies include 1/2 yard fabric for binding (contrasting or the same as the main fabric), a 22-inch separating sport zipper, long pins to pin through two layers of quilted fabric, a sewing machine, and your usual sewing supplies. If you have a serger, that will be even better.

Information on how to sign up is in the February MLQG newsletter.
