Mini-Workshop to Make Cooling Neckties

MLQG members are invited to attend an outreach mini-workshop on Monday, March 5th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center in Wellsboro to help make cooling neckties for workers in Texas who are helping with Hurricane Harvey relief. (Learn more about the group's efforts at www.refugiovolunteerreceptioncenter.org).

What to bring?
cotton fabric pre-cut into 4" WOF (width of fabric) strips
cutting mat and rotary cutter
sewing machine
normal sewing supplies
a bag lunch, drink, and a snack to share, if you wish

Can't attend the workshop, but still would like to help? Make Cooling Neckties at home -- the directions can be found by clicking here. Scroll down this blog post to see photos of completed neckties.

Or you can cut the 4" WOF strips and drop them off at the Gmeiner, or give them to Ava K. before March 5th.

Questions? Contact Susan McC. or Ava K. (check your guild roster for their contact info).
