May PATCH

Another successful PATCH meeting!  This past Friday the group sewed Humble Haversacks to be donated to the Humble Bumble Project.  These bags will be filled with self care items for caregivers of cancer patients and distributed through UPMC – Hillman Cancer Centers and UPMC Home Healthcare of Central Pennsylvania and Family Hospice. May Outreach Update

Thirteen quilts for Foster Care Christmas and four We Honor with Quilts for veterans in hospice care were donated at the May meeting.

Glorified Nine-Patch with Gyleen Fitzgerald

The Glorified Nine-Patch workshop, led by national instructor, Gyleen Fitzgerald, centered around the vibrant themes of color, precise piecing, and the joys of fun, food, and friendship.

 

National Speaker - Gyleen Fizgerald

Gyleen Fitzgerald, a well-known quilt instructor, was the featured speaker at the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild's May meeting. Her presentation on effectively using color was a hit, leaving attendees inspired and eager to apply new techniques in their quilting projects.
