The MLQG members met at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center for their monthly PATCH meeting, Friday, August 22nd, where they were presented with a unique challenge: choosing a quilt backing first, then creating a coordinating quilt top. The quilts, once finished, will be donated to children in foster care.

July PATCH
Members of the MLQG met at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center today for their monthly PATCH meeting. The group worked together to create quilt tops using a Walk in the Park quilt pattern and jelly rolls, which are 2 1/2-inch strips. Once finished, the quilts will be donated to children in foster care.

On Friday, members of the MLQG gathered at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center for their monthly PATCH meeting. Together, they crafted quilt tops using a Disappearing 25 Patch Pattern. Once completed, these quilts will be donated to children in foster care.

May PATCH
Another successful PATCH meeting! This past Friday the group sewed Humble Haversacks to be donated to the Humble Bumble Project. These bags will be filled with self care items for caregivers of cancer patients and distributed through UPMC – Hillman Cancer Centers and UPMC Home Healthcare of Central Pennsylvania and Family Hospice. April PATCH
On Friday, members of the MLQG convened at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center for their monthly PATCH meeting. Together, they crafted quilt tops from thrifted shirts, with the intention of donating the finished quilts to veterans in hospice care.

At the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center on Friday, the MLQG membership gathered for their monthly PATCH meeting, working together to create 'Falling Charms' quilt tops, which will be donated to children in foster care and veterans in hospice when completed.

February PATCH
Members of the MLQG gathered at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center on Friday for their monthly PATCH meeting. Members worked together to create "potato chip" quilt blocks from 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" rectangles. Once completed, the quilts will be donated to charity.

January PATCH
PATCH was all about Fun with Fidgets today at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center! Fifteen MLQG members worked together to create fidget quilts that will be donated to dementia patients through UPMC Hospice.
