MLQG Lite?

It's time to switch back to evening meeting times which makes many of us happy, but others not so much. In the interest of reaching as many members as possible and keeping us all connected, a proposal has been made to try an extra daytime meeting on the 4th Monday at 1:00 April through October.

These MLQG Lite meetings would consist of guild announcements, show and tell, and a social time only.  All official guild business, programs and speakers would continue, as always, on the 3rd Mondays or regularly scheduled meeting times.

This topic will be discussed in more detail and voted on at the April meeting.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, but are interested in continuing daytime meetings in this fashion and would like your vote counted, please contact Peggi Y. or Susan Mc.

*If found popular, Lite meetings could be continued in the evening November-March to accommodate those who cannot attend daytime meetings.

Board Meeting, Monthly Meeting, and National Quilting Month!

A meeting of the MLQG Board will be held Monday, March 18th at 11:00 AM at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center located at 134 Main St. Wellsboro, PA.  All MLQG officers, chairpersons, and interested members are encouraged to attend.

Immediately following the board meeting at 1:00 we will be celebrating National Quilting Month with a parade of quilts!  Please bring a quilt to carry or wrap around yourself as we march through town to celebrate and bring awareness to our favorite hobby...QUILTING!

The regular monthly meeting of the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will be held following the quilt parade.  The program for the meeting will be "Learn what your local quilt shops can do for you and what you can do for them!" by Scheetz Sew Creative and Canyon Country Fabrics.

Ending Period Poverty

An update from Tricia Walker...

We held a successful class in a remote part of Ghana called Boateh to make sanitary kits. These women and girls will now be able to continue to make kits and more importantly teach others to do the same!

Thanks to everyone who supports Tricia in her efforts to end period poverty.  Learn how you can help by clicking the link below. 👇
