At their September meeting, PATCH members brushed up on their paper piecing skills by making nametags for the new Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild members. There were some fabric frustrations, with a few members ripping seams and starting over, but they ultimately stitched together a colorful collection of new nametags.
Three Comfort Quilts and one We Honor With Quilts for a veteran in hospice care were donated at the September meeting.

The exhibit will run through October 11th and is open Tuesdays through Sundays 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Closed on Mondays.
Five comfort quilts and eight placemats for Meals on Wheels, were donated in August!
The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild had a great time at their annual summer picnic on Monday, August 16th, held at Ives Run. Friends gathered to enjoy delicious food and fun activities together.
At the July meeting of PATCH, the focus was on America 250. The members collaborated to stitch together patriotic blocks designed by local artists into a quilt top. Once completed, this quilt will be showcased at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center throughout August, and after its time in the gallery, it will be donated to a local veterans organization.
Seven comfort quilts, one We Honor With Quilts for veterans in hospice, two Humble Haversacks for the Humble Bumble Project, two NICU mattress covers for Hershey Children's Hospital, and three placemats for Meals on Wheels, were donated in July!
This heat and humidity has been great weather for quilting and show and tell proved it!
