Round Robin Kick Off

Yes! We are still doing a Round Robin quilt club this year. When we meet in February, we will discuss how things will go. I spoke with Ann V., she is all ready to help us get this going. There is still time for you to join the group and take part. The more, the merrier. Here are the down and dirty details so far:

  • Each person participating would bring a center block to the March meeting of the Guild
  • Each person participating will leave the March meeting with a center block made by another member.
  • The participant will put a border around the center block they take home and bring the growing quilt back to the April meeting.
  • In April, the member will take home another quilt and add a border to it.
  • In May, the member will take home another quilt and add a border to it.
  • In June, the member will take home another quilt and add a border to it.
  • In July, the member will take home another quilt and add a border to it.
  • In August, well, I don't know for sure what will happen. We have to see how many participants there are and how many rounds the group decides to go.
  • You do NOT get to see your quilt until all the borders have been added.
  • Quilters of all skill level will participate. This is about sharing and fellowship. We are learning, and not all pieces will be "quilt show" perfect. Let loose and have some fun. Design in love and try something new.

*Photos in this post are borrowed from the internet. They do not represent actual quilts that we are making. There is no set pattern. They are here to inspire.

January Meeting Cancelled

 Hello all!

Well this sure isn't a good start to my year as president. Our January meeting is cancelled due to the snowstorm. Please share this message with others who are in the Guild. It is better to be told twice than to not know what is going on.

See you on February 21st. I try to keep the calendar on the blog/webpage updated, so you can check it whenever you have a question on something that is scheduled. Calendar

Stay warm and healthy,
Nikki

Membership Dues Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that our bylaws state that yearly dues must be paid before February 1st. This is especially important this year, so you can enter your items in the Quilt Exhibition at the Gmeiner. Ellen will accept them at the January meeting, or you can mail them to her.  You can right-click on the image below to save it for printing and fill it out to hand in with your dues. Thanks a bunch for taking care of this.
