Raffle Time!

 As printed on the tickets, we will be drawing for the winner on Tue, October 15th at the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center. The winners will be announced at our monthly meeting on Monday the 21st held at 7:00 pm. 

If you have any sold tickets, please get them to Nikki, Sylvia, or the Gmeiner ASAP.

Exhibit Drop Off

Don't forget about exhibit entry drop-off next week! Make sure your entries have sleeves as well as labels. You will have your photo taken with your masterpieces, so come camera-ready! Thursday, September 5th and Friday, September 6th, 12-6 pm at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center in Wellsboro, PA.

UPMC Hospice census has more than doubled over the last few weeks and they are in need of Honor With Quilts for veterans as well as fidget quilts for dementia patients.  Details for both projects can be found on the guild's website at https://mountainlaurelquiltguild.blogspot.com/p/community-projects.html?m=1

Shiny Bright Wool Applique Workshop

Guild members had a great time with Phyllis Wheeler, learning the fundamentals of wool applique and adding beads to embroidery while creating a lovely Shiny Bright Christmas ornament.

Shiny Bright Wool Applique Workshop

Learn the basics of wool applique while making a beautiful wool "Shiny Bright" Christmas Ornament.

Monday, June 24th (Only 6 months until Christmas!) 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Presbyterian Church, Wellsboro, PA

Instructed by Phyllis Wheeler 

Cost: $20 (kit to make one ornament included)

Materials needed:

small (sharp) scissors

pins

#24 chenille needle

Additional ornament kits will be available for $8 each. Phyllis will also have a selection of her hand dyed wool, wool applique kits, patterns, and threads for sale (cash or checks only). 

Salad Bar Lunch...each person will bring a different salad topping (tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, etc.) The guild will provide lettuce, dressings, rolls and butter, bottled water, paper products.

Class size is limited to 20.
