Next Open Sewing Session
Monday, July 30th at the Gmeiner 10:00 - 2:00
All MLQG members of all ability levels and interests are welcome to attend the open sewing sessions at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center (where the monthly guild meetings are held) on Mondays 10:00 - 2:00 to work on any stitching projects, hand or machine, even knitting, crocheting, or embroidery.

Stay for an hour or stay all day. Just be warned that if only a couple of people show up, we may pack up early and leave before noon. Cancellations will be posted on the guild's blog/website/Facebook page.

Ask Not What Your Guild Can Do For You, But What You Can Do For Your Guild
The main reason MLQG is such a success is because of the guild members who volunteer their time for officer and chair positions (and other volunteer opportunities that arise). Several MLQG officer and chair positions will be available for the 2019 membership year (with the option of extending through 2020).
The open positions are --
Vice-President/Program Committee Chair
Secretary
Publicity
Local Workshops
Fall Retreat
2020 Exhibit Chair
2020 Exhibit Co-chair
Please consider volunteering for one of these positions. If you have questions, those who are currently in those positions are more than happy to discuss what is involved.
If you are interested or even just thinking that perhaps you might be willing to fill a position, please contact guild president Betty M. or vice-president Sylvia L.
Contact info for all officers and chairs is listed on your guild roster and in every issue of the newsletter.
