MLQG Volunteers Needed!

This is just a reminder that MLQG's December meeting/annual dinner will be held tomorrow, December 9th. (scroll down for the previous blog post with details).

Before you go tomorrow night, check your calendars to see if you can spare an hour or two on Saturday, December 14th to help sell tickets for our 2020 raffle quilt during Wellsboro's "Christmas on Main Street" celebration. You don't need to know how to use a computer and you don't need to stand outside in the cold. We'll be selling tickets in the Deane Center Lobby, in the middle of the Main Street festivities. And it won't be as crowded as Dickens!

If you can volunteer, please contact raffle quilt chair Tess McC. ASAP. Her contact info can be found in the guild newsletters and on the roster. Or you can sign up tomorrow night while enjoying a fun evening with fellow guild members!

Just a reminder of what our gorgeous 2020 raffle quilt looks like! The tickets practically sell themselves!

MLQG December 2019 Meeting/Dinner

MLQG's December meeting and annual dinner will be held on Monday, December 9th at 6:00 P.M. at the Tokishi Building on NYPUM Drive in Wellsboro

Please bring a dish to pass and your own table setting. This year we are having a ticket auction for donated items from guild members. Tickets are $5.00 for 20. Place your ticket in the container next to the item you hope to win. So far, we have an Inktense Pencil set, a quilt kit, a handmade quilted jacket, and several “upcycled” scarf and mitten sets made from sweaters. Proceeds will benefit the guild. If you have items you would like to donate please contact MLQG guild vice-president Kathy B. Her contact info can be found in the newsletter and on the guild roster.

Guild members who signed up to decorate a table are reminded to bring their lovely things and to arrive a little early!

It should be a great evening for good food, fellowship and fun!

Help Needed To Sell Raffle Tickets!

The guild will be selling tickets for our 2020 raffle quilt during Wellsboro's Christmas on Main Street celebration on Saturday, December 14th at the Deane Center on Main Street. Volunteers are needed to help sell tickets from 9:00 to 4:00. If you can spare an hour or two, please contact raffle quilt chair Tess McC. Her contact info is in the guild's newsletter and on the member roster. Or you can just use the "contact us" form on the right side of this blog, and we'll make sure Tess gets your message.

Please consider helping out. It should be a fun day in Wellsboro, and by selling raffle tickets, the guild can continue to provide valuable programs and events for MLQG members.

MLQG Members Rock!

The generosity of MLQG members never disappoints! When the call went out for making Bumble Bags for the Humble Bumble Project, our guild members went right to their sewing machines and made more than 80 bags to donate. More bags are still needed, so click on the "Outreach Projects" tab at the top of this blog to find the pattern, tips, and a step-by-step tutorial.

Here are a few photos of the members and their bags from the November 2019 guild meeting.
