"Dreaming Of A World Without Cancer"
The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will once again be quilting for a cause
during the guild’s 2016 exhibit. Members are invited to help fight cancer by
making an art quilt in memory of a victim, in honor of a survivor, or to simply
raise money for the American Cancer Society of Tioga County. The rules are easy.
Make a 9”x12” art quilt using the theme, “dreams”. Any style, color, technique,
and ability are welcome. All quilts entered in the “Dreaming Of A World Without
Cancer” category will be offered for sale at the price of $25.00 each during the
month of the exhibit. All profits will be donated to the American Cancer Society
of Tioga County at the close of the exhibit.
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary
health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by
preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through
research, education, advocacy, and service.
