For MLQG's 2020 exhibit, the guild outreach project is to make mini-quilts for a local charity, the Humble Bumble Project. The mission of the Humble Bumble Project is to alleviate financial burdens faced by pediatric and young adult cancer families so parents and caregivers can focus on family rather than finances. To read more about the Humble Bumble Project, click here for the website.
An outreach charity is chosen for every MLQG exhibit. These mini-quilts should be no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches, with a label and hanging sleeve on the back. The quilt should reflect children's struggle to overcome and cope with cancer. The quilts will be hung in the Atrium Gallery of the Gmeiner Art & Cultural Center during the MLQG 2020 exhibit and will be sold for $25, with all proceeds going to the Humble Bumble Project. There will be a separate entry form for these small quilts.
All MLQG members are encouraged to use their creativity to come up with some lovely mini-quilts for a good cause!
