At the April meeting, Anya Tyson, a charter member of the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild, shared her quilting journey with the organization. She reflected on the guild's early days, highlighting the strong bonds and creative spirit among its members. Anya discussed the many projects they undertook, the skills they developed, and the lasting friendships formed during quilting sessions. Her passion for quilting was evident as she spoke about her own growth as a quilter and her joy in mentoring newer members. The program not only celebrated her personal journey, but was a celebration of the guild's growth and the community it has fostered over the last 28 years.
