We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our friend, Pam Swimley. Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Pamela Jean Treat Swimley entered the Kingdom Triumphant on June 24th surrounded with love from family and friends.
Pam was born to Andrew Claud & Mary Renninger Treat on January 28, 1957. She was a graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School, class of 1974. It was while in school that she met the love of her life, Timothy K. Swimley. They married on June 21, 1975, and lived life together for 51 years. They raised a family and built an amazing life. Together they were life members of the Sabinsville Fire and Ambulance Associations. Many will remember that she was dispatcher number 8 with 911 where her calm voice helped many in need who called in during emergencies.
In her personal time, she was active in Cub Scouts with her children where the scouts affectionately called her “Uncle Pam”. She was an avid fabric crafter; knitting, crocheting, and quilting. These hobbies allowed her to build friendships in her quilting group.
It would be a disservice to not mention her faith. Pam was a member of the Westfield Methodist Church. Pam maintained a prayer journal containing prayers as well as joys. This was a vital part of her daily life.
Pam is survived by her loving husband Timothy, sons Michael (Heather) Swimley of State College, PA, Karl (Amanda) Swimley of Little Marsh, PA, Todd (Brooke) Swimley of Westfield, PA, and a daughter Lori Swimley of Westfield, PA, her mother Mary Treat, 4 brothers Earl, Gerald, Kevin, and Russell, Grandchildren Sam, Christopher, Dakota, Garrett, Abby, Asher, Grady, Connor, Loel, Branden, Aydin, and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
